Giving Paper Flowers More Dimension

Paper Flowers Using Cricut's Artbooking & Artiste

I love making three dimensional cards, so I was so excited to find these cool flowers that you can cut out on Cricut's Artbooking and Artiste cartridges, exclusive to Close To My Heart.  My plan is to make a two-tone flower by cutting different flowers that are different sizes and putting the smaller one into the middle of the larger.  Sounds easy enough...right?  Well, it is!

After cutting my flowers out, I rolled them both on a metal skewer (yes, used to BBQ) that was long enough to hold between my knees so I could use both hands to roll tight and work some magic.  Once I rolled them up, I released it to unwind a bit and glued them onto the inner circle with my Beacon's 3-in-1 craft glue.  I left a larger center in the larger flower so I could insert my smaller one into the middle.

After I glued them together I distressed with Tim Holtz ink and fanned them outwards and down a few times, kinda like a deck of cards.  I think my card turned out pretty cute!

Create a Fun and Easy Party Favor!

The Owl French Fry Box

Today, I put together a cute little owl french fry style container that went together in a flash!  I used Cricut Craft Room and my CTMH Cricut Art Philosphy and Artiste cartridges,  It makes the perfect party favor for a boy or girl's party or can be easily fixed up for adults as well.  I made these for Valentine's Day for my son's class and put cookies in them and the kids loved it!  Thanks for looking!

My Very First Blog - CTMH Cricut Artfully Sent

I am not sure what I am more excited to tell you about, the new Close To My Heart Cricut cartridge, Artfully Sent, or the fact that this is my very first blog post.  Some may call me a virgin blogger, I consider myself a "newbie to the blog world".  I may not have much experience blogging, but I have loads of experience scrapbooking and cardmaking, especially with Cricut cartridges.  Ever since I bought my first CTMH Cricut Artbooking cartridge, I basically have used nothing else but the ones that CTMH has available.  They have everything I could ever need....images, sayings, fonts, scrapbook layout designs, card layouts, gift boxes and tags and even backgrounds, the list goes on, and on, and on.  I consider this my best scrapbook investment I have made.  I really have no reason to buy any embellishments, except the occasional washi tape or ribbon.

Take a look at this short video to get an idea of what I'm saying and why I'm so excited.  I will be posting my own projects soon using the cartridges that are exclusive to CTMH.  If you would like to order one of these cartridges click here or visit my CTMH page www.scrapbookdana.ctmh.com.

Thanks for visiting and happy crafting!
